Direct transmission

According to the spirit of the article, it is allowed for ground operators (including personnel using foot buckles to climb poles) and pole mounted (bucket mounted) operators entering live work areas to directly transfer tools without using insulated ropes, but the following conditions must be met: the object being transferred is an insulated object, such as insulated operating poles, insulated load-bearing tools, and other insulated tools.

When transmitting, the insulating object should have sufficient effective insulation length.

It should be noted that personnel on the pole cannot shift while holding tools or materials.

When using two insulated bucket arm trucks for collaborative operation, workers in different buckets should transfer tools and equipment to each other in the live working area, with the same requirements as above.

If it is necessary to directly transfer metal tools and materials, the personnel working on the pole (inside the bucket) should evacuate the live working area.

Use lifting ropes for transmission

When direct transmission is not possible, insulated suspension ropes should be used. The thickness of the suspension rope should be selected based on the weight of the tools and materials, with a safety factor of at least 2.5. And according to the structural characteristics such as the size and length of the object, select suitable rope buckles (knots) to tie firmly before transmission.

Long objects should be passed vertically up and down. When necessary, insulation control ropes can be tied to heavy or long objects, and ground operators can assist in controlling the direction and stability of transmission.

When workers on poles transfer objects, they should tie insulated ropes to sturdy components such as poles and crossarms, and should not tie them to their bodies. For personnel carrying heavy objects inside the bucket, it is advisable to use insulated small cranes with insulated bucket arm carts.

The height of the 10 (20) kV overhead line tower is relatively low, so it is not necessary to use an endless rope, but it should be noted that the tail rope cannot directly touch the ground and be dampened.

Hazards of Throwing

Using throwing to transfer tools and materials up and down is prone to falling objects from high altitude. Or due to the excessive movement of workers entering the live working area, they may accidentally touch surrounding objects with different electrical potentials, resulting in electric shock accidents. Therefore, it is prohibited and constitutes a violation of regulations.
